In My Shoes

We are having the BEST time with Matthew these days. His personality is coming out at a furious pace and we are quickly learning that he is not only a sensitive, loving boy but also hysterically funny. This kid has the greatest sense of humor and gets most everything that is going on around him. Perhaps all of the observing he does is doing him well! My sister Gina is the middle child and my Mom tells stories about how Gina understood adult humor (no, not the dirty kind- but the elevated kind) at an early age. She often sat around as adults had conversations and before anyone knew it- she really could understand everything. I think Matthew is headed down this same path!

The other night before my basketball game, Matthew came in the room wearing my basketball shoes. It was so adorable. He did a few dances and knew how to get us all to laugh. I just love this kid! It was cute because if he does put on our shoes, they are usually Damien's or if he wears mine- he will wear my high heels. So to see him come through the door sloshing around in my big sneakers was a welcome surprise. Funny, funny, Matthew.
