Grandpa and The Mariners

Tonight, all the girls in the family were gathering at Gina's condo for a birthday party for Jill. Yes, my next youngest sister turned 31 and we were going to get together with our family and friends to celebrate! It just so happened that my Dad got some fabulous seats to Mariner's game and decided to take Damien and the kids! He had gone to another Mariner's game the night before with Jill but still had the energy to do it again! We all thought this was funny because my Dad has never been a major 'game attender'. He would rather watch most every sporting event at home than deal with the crowds and all the hoopla that comes with it! So you could imagine the shock we were all in when my Dad went to two games in two days! Whew!

I was a little worried about how my Dad and Damien would handle all three kids! But they showed me up and did great with them. Apparently the tickets my Dad had were club level and this made the whole event a whole lot easier. They got to sit and eat while watching the game, the usher hand delivered them bobble heads, and their seats were awesome. Damien said that Michael and Claire cheered, loved all of the music, and ate the treats that Grandpa spoiled them with!

Claire's favorite part of the Mariner's game was when they got baseball cards, bobble heads and ate Cracker Jacks. Michael's favorite part of the game was being with Grandpa. Matthew didn't say what his favorite part was. He just ate cotton candy and was happy! They had a wondeful time and I thought it was really cool that the boys took them to a game by themselves. This was especially cool to me because I used to love going to sporting events with my Dad. To think that my kids got to do that with him was really a neat moment for me. I am not sure if the Mariner's won or not and I bet the kids don't know either. They were just too busy having an amazing night with their Dad and Grandpa!
