We knew today was going to be an amazing and patriotic day! We started things off by meeting the Uffelmans in the heart of Santa Clara for the Red, White, and Bloom Parade! Gina stayed the night last night so we were excited that she was able to join us, for what was bound to be, a lot of fun!
I love to buy the kids fun outfits to celebrate any holiday. The 4th of July is no exception! We all got dressed in our red, white and blue and met the Uffelmans on the parade route. They had saved some prime seats right on the sidewalk so had a great, front row view!
We brought 4th of July donuts for all of the kids around us. To say they were a hit would be the understatement of the year! Michael, Claire, Matthew, Luke, Emily and Brinn were completely captivated by the floats, old fashioned cars, people carrying candy and flags, and Uncle Keith. Yes, Uncle Keith Marshall surprised all of us when we saw him marching in the parade with his theatre group! Damien and Brian about died! It was awesome!
This parade was the perfect start to our patriotic day. A small, hometown parade with great friends and family. It is great to be an American. Now let's celebrate!
