On June 19th, Damien's Dad had to go in for open heart surgery. He needed to have a mitral valve replacement. In the months leading up to the procedure, both Mark and Marlene looked into less invasive procedures, but it was clear that open heart surgery was the only way to properly remedy the situation. Mark did great during surgery and his recovery was as good as to be expected!
We went to Healdsburg today to check in with him and show our support. For only being a few thirteen days out from surgery- he looked fantastic! He still needs to be very careful and purposeful with his movements but he did great! The kids were worried about Papa but were happy to see him happy and healthy. We are so happy and blessed that Mark made it through surgery and now has a healthy heart! We have a lot to be thankful for.
