Spring Break in Kirkland!

We were so excited to be able to spend Spring Break in Kirkland this year!  We didn't have much planned which was nice.  Just lots of time to spend with family while we relax and unwind.

First order of business was going to watch Laura at her Special Olympics softball practice!  She is so awesome!  We loved watching her and she was beyond excited to have her nieces and nephews there to watch her!
I have been promising to take the kids to the indoor Juanita Pool for some time.  They didn't believe me that there were indoor pools that were open year round!  We honestly had the best time.  There were lots of swim toys and the big kids got to go to the deep end and jump off the diving boards.  And yes, the little kids were insanely jealous.  You have to be water safe and take a swim test to gain entrance into the deep end so Matthew and Emily need to keep practicing!

We also traveled north to Mukilteo where Jill and Jake live.  It's only a short twenty minute drive.  We played at her house for most of the day and then went to visit Boeing, where both Jake and Jill work.  The kids loved it.  Lots of planes and cool things to look at.  Auntie Jilly bought them each a prize in the gift shop and they left happy for sure!

It just so happened that we were able to go to one of cousin Courtland's baseball games.  We love watching him play!  It just so happened that some of my other cousins and aunts were there, too!  All the kids ran around together while the adults tried to take in the game.  We all went out eat to Tres Hermanos after to celebrate!  It was Court's birthday so some of his friends joined us at the restaurant, too.  Court was awesome to include Michael in the conversations with his high school buddies.  Michael was in heaven.

Family dance parties are par for the course when we're up there, so naturally that happened.

The kids were really excited that my Uncle Bob and Aunt Mary had left eggs for them to search for in an egg hunt!  Since we missed Easter at my Mom's house this year- they made sure to leave some for the kids to search for.  We made the kids go in a room and told them not to peek.  Then, we released them into the yard and they had the best time searching for their little treasures.  I was so touched that my aunt and uncle would do this for my kids.

We also visited my Grandma Sacco while we were up there.  We love her so much and love every chance we get to spend with her!  We always bring her a beautiful bouquet of flowers and some really pretty sugar cookies.  It's our ritual.  Part of the ritual is talking to my Grandma on the phone and her telling me, "Please, Lisa.  Don't bring the flowers and cookies."  But she knows I always will!

We love being with family!  This trip was wonderful and was just the right way to hit the 'RESET' button as we travel back down south and head back into the grind.  Much love to everyone who made this trip so wonderful.  Until next time . . .

Yes, we're crazy and I wouldn't trade one second spent with my family!
