Dreaming of a Bubbly Christmas

You would think since the kids were up to at least 1:30 a.m., they would have slept in this morning.  Yah.  Not so much.  I don't blame them!  We are at Nonna and Grandpa's and there is lots of fun to be had!  Naturally, the boys were outside rough housing while the girls stayed in and played in the sink.  Yep- played in the sink.  My parents have a faucet on one of their kitchen sinks that starts and stops when you tap it.  Emily is OBSESSED!  No sooner would she walk in the kitchen, would she be pushing one of their bar stools over to the sink to tap, tap, tap away!

Because my Mom is the best, she let Emily and Claire have a lot of fun with it.  Emily got to squirt dish soap in the water and splash around.  When the sink was full of suds- Nonna, Claire, and Emily started playing Santa by putting bubble beards on their faces!  Pretty funny if you ask me!

The big event happened when Nonna let Emily do some dishes.  I am quite confident the boys wouldn't have been interested in this fun activity.  My girls on the other hand, loved it.  We don't have a lot planned for the next few days other than relaxing and enjoying the days leading up until Christmas.  And I have to admit- for the first time in a while, I actually feel relaxed.
