Our family was invited to a San Jose Giants game tonight in order to celebrate Michael's friend, Jacob's birthday! The San Jose Giants are the minor league affiliate to the San Francisco Giants. Every summer, Jacob has his birthday here and they rent out the majority of the third base line. My kids were really looking forward to the game!
My kids have been out of school for almost a month now. They really haven't seen their friends so this was a great opportunity for them to reconnect and have some fun! The game was great. A lot of action, a lot of cameos for the kids on the big screen, lots of yummy food, and who doesn't love a giant monkey named Gigante? He signed the kids arms with Sharpie and they also won about thirty tickets for an upcoming game! All the kids were obsessed with Gigante!!!
It was a great night with some great families from my kids' school. Ahhhh. We love summer.

Nothing like minor league baseball. Quality players just not quite at the major league level. You can get great seats for not too much money. Reminds me of my growing up days with baseball n Seattle. Back then there were only 16 teams (as opposed to 30 now) so the quality of the kids on the way up was at a major league level. And the guys coming down at the end of their careers. I still remember watching Herb Score, a great Cleveland Indians pitcher, getting touched up pretty good by Seattle. I felt bad for an old veteran not knowing when it was time to hang em up . . . but I digress.
