This evening, we drove over to Santa Clara to go to a gymnastics birthday party for Gabe and Brennan! Gabe's birthday is in November and Brennan's is in December so it just makes sense to combine them! My kids couldn't wait to go jump around and we couldn't wait for them to burn off some energy!
I always love seeing my kids in this type of environment! Michael and Claire are predictably crazy! Matthew is impressing me more and more every day with his competitive attitude and daring abilities! Emily, well- she is just nuts. She was put in the 'little kid' group and just ignored every 'little kid' direction that the teacher gave her. She flew, jumped, rolled, catapulted, and maneuvered her way through all of the activities which was hilarious to watch!
I also loved seeing Michael, Claire, and Matthew compete in an obstacle course relay race. Basically, they had to run up to a big foam mat that was about three feet high, jump up on it, dive into a big foam pit, manage to get out of the pit, and then run back and tag the next person on their team. Michael and Claire were on opposite teams so you can only imagine the competitive spirit in the air!
The party was great. The kids loved being with their cousins and we managed to leave the gymnastics floor with no broken bones. Success! Happy Birthday Brennan and Gabe!
