Matthew Loses His First Tooth!

Matthew has been wanting to lose a tooth for a while.  It's a right of passage that he watched Michael and Claire journey down and now Matthew was ready!  His lower right middle tooth had been wiggly for a while.  And, I mean wiggly!  Matthew wasn't ever worried about it or queasy- he just worked and worked on it until it was ready!

It's funny.  I think he was more excited to lose to the tooth because it meant that he would get money from the tooth fairy!  In fact- when we asked him what he was most excited about, he shouted Money!!!  Watching Damien pull the kids' teeth is not an easy thing.  It's hard to watch knowing what it going to happen!  Michael, Claire, and I all had knots in out stomachs and just wanted it to be over.  Emily was completely in the dark but screamed with the rest of it.

A few pulls and the baby tooth was out!  Matthew got so excited and then shouted Money, again!  What a great moment.  You only lose your first tooth once and Matthew had us all on hand to be witness to the great event!  Matthew- you were super brave and we are all happy that since you lost your tooth you get . . . Money!!!!!
