Lake Vasona's Holiday Light Show

For the last few years, we have headed down to Los Gatos to experience Lake Vasona's Holiday Light Show.  Lake Vasona is a beautifully vast park that in the fall, spring and summer are just gorgeous!  During the holidays, they put on a light show that you can view while driving your car.  I love it because we get to see something really cool while having the kids contained in a car.  The kids love it because it is the one time a year that Daddy lets them drive the car!  Did I mention we wear our pajamas, too?

While driving, you tune your radio to a certain station and you get to listen to Christmas carols that coordinate with the light displays!  It's pretty awesome!  For part of the ride (which is very slow and takes about 30 mins to get through) the kids view it through the sunroof.  It's a bit chaotic to have all four of them cramming into the front with me and Dam, but it's a lot of fun.

All the kids absolutely loved driving the car.  They sat on Damien's lap and had full control over the steering wheel but Damien kept control over the gas and brake pedals.  All of the kids did great and felt super cool during their five minutes of steering.  Only one of my kids honked the horn while driving.  Did you guess which one yet?  I'll give you a hint.  It rhymes with Bemily.

After finishing the light show, we all spilled out into Starbucks (yes, still in our pajamas) for hot chocolate and decaf eggnog lattes.  I absolutely love that we still find time to slow down and do things like this as a family.  Tis' the season!  Only four more days until Christmas!
